The Game Convention in Leipzig is under way and I'm not there. Rumors are starting to fly though. There are reports of new Heavy Rain footage (hopefully an explanation), Resident Evil 5 zombies, Killzone previews and more. I hope there are some announcements that get me excited about the holiday season's rush of games... because right now, things are looking kind of dry.
I feel like the systems are so complex now that it takes developers too long to create games. Producing something quick and easy for the Wii is a good way to make a buck, but it doesn't create the immersive experience that people keep coming back to. But games on the 360 and PS3 take forever. The two games I'd anticipated from the PS3 launch (MGS4 and Burnout) have come and gone. Now what? Lead times are so long... I don't even know what I should be waiting for.
